New Year, New Name, New Blog

I've had a bit of a refresh and re-brand and shall now be known as Healing Hands for Motherhood. I feel the new name reflects more on what I do, which is offer holistic, complimentary therapies for women not just during pregnancy but beyond and throughout motherhood. To celebrate the re-brand I'm offering 10% off your first treatment when you book between 1st to 7th February 2018.

Being pregnant and being a mum presents us with it's own challenges, but women need to feel there is help available. So along with a new name, is my new blog too, where I hope to write about my complimentary therapies, motherhood, pregnancy and anything that floats your boat, once a month.

So, what's my story? My name is Hannah Waldock. I am a mum to three children and I'm also a midwife with over 15 years of experience mainly within the community setting. I have worked with women and their families in the NHS and privately as an Independent Midwife. I passionately believe that even in a more complex pregnancy, each woman should be helped to feel her pregnancy is as normal as possible. I have found, and research has shown, that by providing women with a holistic package of care, they are able to progress through their pregnancy journey feeling more confident in themselves and their ability to birth their baby. I have worked with many women who have used a variety of complementary therapies over the years and have seen how they give each woman a sense of control over their bodies and symptoms.

I trained as a midwife in London at Kings College University and continued my learning journey by training in complementary therapies, namely aromatherapy and massage, with Expectancy, a specialist company who are the leading providers of professional education on complementary therapies in pregnancy and childbirth. I have since qualified as an IFPA accredited Clinical Aromatherapy and Massage Therapist.

I specialise in women's health, relaxation, massage, treatment and advice throughout pregnancy and beyond, offering complimentary therapies to help with morning sickness, overdue babies and breech babies using different forms of relaxing massage and aromatherapy. But looking after you doesn't have to stop once you've had your baby. I offer treatments for you well in to motherhood to help alleviate the stresses and strains associated with becoming a mum. Hot Stone Massage, Swiss Reflex Therapy and Aromatherapy to name a few. All of this is carried out following a full and thorough consultation between ourselves to ensure each treatment is appropriate and tailored to you.

Please visit the website and get in touch to see how I could help you. 10% off first treatments booked between 1st to 7th February 2018.
