About Me

My Practice

At our first ever appointment I carry out a comprehensive medical history to ensure each treatment is appropriate and tailored to you.

If I provide you with oils for you to use at home, I will give you written instructions to carry out the treatments yourself. Following any consultation I will email you a with a copy of the appointment details including any recommendations and any treatments carried out, so that these can be put into your pregnancy records for other health professionals to see.

Please be aware that in order to treat you, I need to have access to your hand held pregnancy hospital notes, including scans and blood results. Without these available I am unable to continue any treatments or offer any advice.

I am fully insured for your peace of mind & I have a valid DBS (police checked) certificate.

My name is Hannah, I'm married & have 3 children.

I am a midwife with over 20 years of experience mainly within the community setting. I have worked with women and their families in the NHS & privately as an Independent Midwife. I passionately believe that even in a more complex pregnancy, each woman should be helped to feel her pregnancy is as normal as possible. I have found, & research has shown, that by providing women with a holistic package of care, they are able to progress through their pregnancy journey feeling more confident in themselves and their ability to birth their baby. I have worked with many women who have used a variety of complementary therapies over the years and have seen how they give each woman a sense of control over their bodies and symptoms.

I trained as a midwife in London at Kings College University and have followed this up by training in complementary therapies with Expectancy, a specialist company who are the leading providers of professional education on complementary therapies in pregnancy and childbirth. This course has given me the skills, education and an understanding of the safety implications in the use of complementary therapies, such as homeopathy and Bach Flower Remedies, to help alleviate conditions like morning sickness and overdue babies. It whilst undertaking this training that I developed a fascination and love of aromatherapy essential oils and their incredible therapeutic effects. I have since qualified as an IFPA accredited massage therapist and Clinical Aromatherapist.
